We’re seeking a Production Designer to join our growing innovation team. As the Production Designer, you’ll support the work of designers, content creators, and program managers — from initial design to final execution. This role requires someone who will dig into the components of existing and new projects and have a true understanding of what needs to happen to get work done. You will be responsible for taking content and flowing into design systems (templates) to create new materials, as well as to execute designs during the final stages of development, to ensure accuracy and prepare creative for print or digital production. You’ll be working with clients ranging in size from start-ups/incubators to public biopharma.

• Excellent communication skills: able to solicit feedback and keep work moving forward
• Technical/software experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Sketch, PowerPoint and data viz software a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Executes day-to-day production design project specific to long format narratives, charts and graphs, PowerPoint slides, and other visual design requests as needed — digital and print mediums
• Able to consult with clients if work is not received in production ready format to help guide them in the production process
• Ensure all creative work meets quality standards, accuracy and errors & omissions are critical in the work we do
• Able to document process and build knowledge process libraries
• Work in collaboration with the team of Designers, copywriters, digital/social media — to ensure work is meeting expectations of the agency and its clients.
• Work in collaboration with Program Managers (PMs); report on the status of active projects to PM’s
•  Proactively solicit and receive and analyze feedback from the team and clients; making appropriate adjustments to recommendations
• Oversees day-to-day project assignments; nimble and flexible approach to work, able to prioritize, to ensure delivery of quick and accurate design deliverables; skilled in juggling multiple projects simultaneously
• Package and prep files for handoff

 

Qualifications:

 

• Experience working as a production designer with focus on print and digital design
• Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience as a production designer; agency experience preferred; healthcare experience is a big plus
• Experience working directly with key client stakeholders (especially analysts) and cross-functional client team members
• Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the following software: Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Sketch
• Demonstrates strong detail orientation, process orientation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; ability to effectively manage an unpredictable workload and meet established deadlines
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate with diverse working styles and with team members across disciplines
• Initiative to work and learn independently; a team player able to work collaboratively
• Demonstrates ability to ensure team deliverables adhere to quality standards and brand guidelines
